#LalitGate: Twin stand on Dushyant by government

TIMES NOW has learnt that the government was probing Dushyant Singh’s deal with former IPL chief Lalit Modi. This directly contradicts Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s stand that the transaction between the two was a commercial transaction. TIMES NOW is in possession of a document that confirms that as late as January 2015, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was probing the transaction between Dushyant Singh and Lalit Modi. Speaking in Washington, Jaitley had earlier said, “How the government could be concerned with a several year old loan transaction between… which is a commercial loan transaction by check with all banking approvals in a declared loan transaction.” Dushyant, son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, has been under attack over reports that his company received ₹11.63 crore in investments from Lalit in 2008. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Raje have both been facing flak for facilitating Lalit’s travel and stay in the UK, despite the ED probing cases of financial irregularities against him.
