Large number of dead fish seen in China’s Haikou city

A large number of dead fish have been seen in Hongcheng Lake in Haikou, the provincial city of south China’s Hainan Province, on Wednesday. Sanitation workers have salvaged over 35 tons of dead fish within hours. Experts say the fish might be from the sea water and died due to the sudden change of salinity. Local authorities have started to collect water samples for investigation. The residents are suggested to stay away from the area.
