Leopard-human conflicts on rise in India’s Himalayan province

It’s a “Man versus wild”.

As humans continue to encroach animal habitat, the situation is getting worse in northern India’s Himalayan province of Uttarakhand.

At least 3-4 people are either being killed or injured in leopard attacks during the past weeks.

2-year-old Aahil became the latest prey of a leopard in the area, last month. The baby was attacked by the beast when he was being fed by his mother outside his home located adjacent to the dense forest.
