Exports in two major ports in Libya have resumed, following an order from the National Oil Corporation (NOC). The move came after forces from the Libyan National Army (LNA), who back the eastern parliament, handed over the port towns of Zueitina and Ras Lanuf to the NOC on Wednesday, resulting in the restart of oil production at the Nafoura field, which had been closed since November 2015. Last Sunday and Monday, the LNA seized control of the three key ports, as well as one in the town of Brega, from a rival force loyal to the UN-backed government in Tripoli.
