Shennongjia forestland is the home to many of China’s golden snub-nosed monkeys. The species is endangered due to habitat loss. Deforestation has directly jeopardized their living environment, and harvesting their food source has harshened the situation additionally. Now, thanks to protective measures, we saw an increase in the number of golden snub-nosed monkeys living in their homeland, a forestry district of China’s Hubei Province.
