China’s new-generation carrier rocket, the Long March 7, arrived on Saturday at its launch base in Wenchang, south China’s Hainan Province, where it is scheduled for its maiden flight in late June.
The main purpose for its debut launch is to test design and performance indicators. The spacecraft will also carry a small-scale version of a new Chinese re-entry capsule for human spaceflight.
