An escaped calf found itself let loose on a highway for about an hour and a half last week in Liupanshui, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, slowly pursued by police officers both on foot and in their vehicles. Local police rushed to the scene, and drove a convoy of three vehicles side-by-side to force the ox to keep heading straight, before they managed to herd it off the highway at the next exit, holding it captive until its owner arrived to claim it.
