M6.2 quake hits northeast Badakhshan Province
 
An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 has jolted northeast Afghanistan leaving at least 37 people injured. The epicenter of Friday night’s quake was in a village in Badakhshan Province, close to border areas with Pakistan and Tajikistan. So far, there have been no reports of damage or casualties in Afghanistan or Tajikistan. But Pakistan’s Urdu TV channel Geo said the city of Peshawar in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has suffered 37 casualties.
