Ma Ying-jeou holds closed-door meeting with Tsai Ing-wen

Taiwan’s outgoing leader Ma Ying-jeou met his successor Tsai Ing-wen in a transition of power. Before the meeting, Ma called for sincere cooperation between his party and Tsai’s soon-to-be ruling party on issues like economic slowdown and people’s welfare. The closed-door meeting lasted for an hour. Issues such as cross-Strait relations and the South China Sea are said to be among those on the agenda.
