Made in China, one of the world’s largest oil tankers tested

One of the world’s largest oil tankers, designed and made by the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company, has started test operations in the Bohai Sea off China’s northeastern coast. With a tonnage of 308,000, the tanker’s enormous capacity means it can store up to 2.2 million barrels of crude oil. Despite its size, the entire tanker requires a crew of fewer than 30 members, thanks to high levels of automatization on board.
