Malaysian authorities have ordered 111 schools to be closed in the southern state of Johor. This is after a suspected chemical leak last week poisoned more than 200 people, including students and teachers. Authorities believe the poisoning occurred after toxic waste was dumped into a river near the schools. The country’s education minister on Wednesday said in a Facebook post that the situation was “getting more critical”.
