Malaysian oil tanker hijacked and taken into Indonesian waters

Malaysian authorities say an oil tanker was hijacked after leaving port in the southern Johor state Monday. The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency reports the MT Vier Harmoni and its resources have been taken to the Indonesian island of Batam. The vessel was carrying 900,000 liters of diesel worth over 1.5 million ringgit, or almost 400,000 US dollars.
