Malaysia’s government set to fight ISIL’s online propaganda

Authorities have confirmed that two Malaysians carried out recent suicide bombings for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Over the past 18 months, police detained more than 100 suspected Islamic State sympathizers. Supporters and fundraisers have also been detained along with people planning to go to fight, or returning from battle. Some were in the early stages of plotting attacks in Malaysia. The Malaysian government says it plans to introduce teaching modules in schools to counter the propaganda of extremist groups like the Islamic State.
