Recently, a video showing a man tied to a utility pole and being beaten by people was going viral on China’s social media. On Tuesday, the man drove into a village in southeast China’s Fujian Province, and was alleged to have grabbed a three-year-old child who was playing alone outside his home, and then forced the child into his car.
But the man was soon caught by local villagers as the boy’s shout alerted his grandmother, who rushed outside and blocked the man’s car with her body. Local villagers then joined in and tied the man to a utility pole and one of the angry villagers slapped him using a shoe. The scared man at this point wet himself.
The man was then detained by local police. Further investigations are currently ongoing.
