Marilyn Monroe’s poems and artwork up for auction

Marilyn Monroe’s handwritten poems are being put up for auction in Los Angeles on November 19, 54 years after her death. Along with many other items on offer, they provide a revealing insight into the personal life of the screen legend. The items come from Monroe’s acting coach, who has been in possession of many of Monroe’s personal items such as letters, purses, furs and jewelry. One of the most highly priced items in the auction is a wristwatch with diamonds worn by Monroe. 12 paintings by Monroe will also be included in the auction, revealing both the intellectual and artistic sides of Marilyn.
