Mass rally in Japan’s Okinawa protesting U.S. military crimes

Some 65,000 protesters across Japan gathered on Sunday in a park in Naha, protesting the heinous crime of a former U.S. Marine and base worker who raped and murdered a 20-year-old woman in April.
They also called for the withdrawal of the U.S. military on the island and the urgent review over an archaic agreement inked between the United States and Japan governing the handling of incidents caused by U.S. military personnel in Japan.
