Massive 1,109-carat diamond goes up for auction

The second largest diamond ever recovered is in New York City. The 1,109-carat diamond named ‘Lesedi La Rona’ or ‘light’ is on display at Sotheby’s auction house on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The rough diamond, the first of its kind in more than 100 years, could sell for $70M at auction when it goes on the block in London in June.
