Medical charity demands independent probe into Afghan hospital strike

Medical charity, Doctors Without Borders, on Sunday demanded an independent international inquiry into a suspected US air strike that killed 22 people in an Afghan hospital it runs, branding the attack a “war crime”. The organization’s general director, Christopher Stokes, said the investigation should be conducted by an independent international body. Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah said during a ministerial meeting that the government must investigate what went wrong.
