“Works done here in Rio de Janeiro have not only the effect of hosting the Olympic athletes and tourists who come to Rio de Janeiro, but also motivate to improve and increase the comfort of the population of Rio de Janeiro.”

Metro Line 4 connects most urban hotspots to the main sports venues, widely viewed as the greatest legacy of the Games to the city.

“Now with the new line opened, I can check how useful it will be for families. What could take two hours for someone to go from home to work now only takes 20 to 30 minutes. The family relationships and leisure will be more appreciated than before.”

An estimated 500,000 tourists are expected to flux into Rio during August when the Games are held, putting extra pressure on the over-crowded city.
