Mexican drug lord Guzman flees recapture

Mexico’s drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman fleed a recent attempt at his recapture.
Still Guzman received injuries to his leg and face, according to a Mexican government statement.
The statement said the injures on Guzman were not “the product of a direct clash”.
No further relevant details were provided.
The statement also said search operations for the fugitive drug lord have focused on the northwestern part of Mexico.
That area’s not far from Guzman’s native Sinaloa state.
Guzman is the leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel.
In July, he fled from the high-security Altiplano prison outside of Mexico City.
His escape through a 1 and a half-kilometer tunnel under his cell shocked the country.
