Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has signed an agreement to apologize to and compensate the families of forced Chinese laborers in World War II. The company will compensate over 4,000 victims with a sum of 100,000 yuan (around 15,000 US dollars) for each person forced to work during the war. The deal was signed in Beijing earlier on Wednesday, together with three Chinese nationals on behalf of the thousands of forced Chinese laborers. The company also said it would continue to investigate the issue.
