For the 24th year, the United Nations General Assembly has condemned a U.S. trade embargo on Cuba in its resolution.
And again, the United States voted against the Tuesday resolution amid the warming ties between Washington and Havana. Cuban journalist and former diplomat says:
“I believe the ridiculous situation that the U.S. foreign policy has been subjected to through this vote is directed above all by the powers that in reality governing behind the throne in the U.S., in order to ridicule President Obama.”
In July, the United States and Cuba restored diplomatic relations after a 54-year break.
