MOFA on S Korean coastguard incident: Use of force won’t solve anything

The Chinese government said on Wednesday that South Korea’s coastguard should not have been operating in the waters where one of its patrol boats sank on October 7. The incident occurred during an operation to crack down on a group of Chinese fishing boats. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said the use of force will not resolve anything and will only worsen the problem.
