Moscow launches ‘cosmic’ metro train for Cosmonautics Day

The Moscow metro along with the Russian Space Agency launched a ‘cosmic’ train on Tuesday, dedicated to Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin who manned the first flight into space 55 years ago.

On April 12, 1961, 27-year-old Yuri Gagarin boarded the Vostok-1 spacecraft from the Baikonur space centre and became the first man in space.
