Motion to delay TPPA ratification denied

A motion to delay the ratification process of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement was tabled and debated by the Dewan Rakyat Wednesday evening. But the whole process took place less than 15 minutes before it was voted out. On the screen is excerpt of the ruckus that took place during the debate. Motion to sign and ratify the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement was later passed after a bloc vote with 127 backbenchers voting in favour of the pact; while 84 opposition MPs voted against the motion.
