The aid group Medecins Sans Frontieres, or Doctors without Borders, has demanded an international fact-finding investigation into a deadly US air strike on a hospital it was running in the Afghan city of Kunduz. The group’s international president Joanne Liu said the attack “cannot be tolerated and could be deemed a war crime”. The US military took responsibility on Tuesday for the the airstrike that killed 22 people, claiming it was a mistake.
