Munich shooting: Gunman’s spree linked to far-right terrorist, not ISIL

An 18-year-old gunman with dual German and Iranian nationality opened fire near a busy shopping mall in Munich on Friday evening, killing at least nine people, and then himself. Investigators say the shooting had no links to refugees or ISIL. They believe that the suspect acted alone and his actions are more likely inspired by the Norwegian far-right terrorist Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in 2011.
