Myanmar army chief vows to work with Aung San Suu Kyi’s new gov’t

Myanmar’s Defense Services Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing pledged on Wednesday that the armed forces will work closely with the new government.

The information team of the army’s Commander-in-Chief office also issued a press statement in the same day, praising Aung San Suu Kyi’s NLD for winning the favorable up-date result.

In her separate letters to three ruling figures, Suu Kyi has called for a meeting with President U Thein Sein, Parliament Speaker and the Senior-General for holding dialogues next week.
