Najib: Insignificant price drop shows Harapan govt wrong on zeroing GST
Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak said the Pakatan Harapan government’s “admission” that the impact of zero-rated Goods and Services Tax GST was marginal, proved that the tax was not the cause of rising costs of living in the country.
Najib was referring to Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who said that the price drop following the zero-rating of GST barely reached 30 percent.
