As the 78th anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre is drawing near, the Nanjing Massacre Memorial in east China’s Nanjing City opened a new exhibition hall on Monday.
With new historic exhibits on display, the new hall houses five sections themed crime, resistance, surrender, trial and peace.
Japanese invaders took Nanjing City, then Chinese capital, on Dec. 13, 1937.
They killed over 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers before January of 1938.
