NATO planning to extend military presence in Mediterranean region

North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, says the alliance is working on extending its security presence in the Mediterranean region to deal with the migrant crisis and terrorism. The secretary general of NATO Jens Stoltenberg made the announcement during a joint news conference with NATO’s new Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) US Army General Curtis Scaparrotti in the Belgian town of Mons.
