Nepal appeals to attract more Chinese tourists

While meeting with Chinese tour operators in Kathmandu on Friday, Nepal’s Tourism Board urged Chinese travel and tour operators to convey a positive message and encourage tourists to visit Nepal.

“When you go to your home country, please share your impression and tell them Nepal is safe”.

He said the arrival of Chinese tourists will help the quake-stricken country rebuild.

Nepal suffered two major earthquakes in April and May, causing extensive damage to infrastructure.

The Chinese delegation has made an 8-day trip to Kathmandu and major tourism hubs like Pokhara and Chitwan. They say they found Nepal still beautiful and safe.
