Nepal remembers the worst earthquakes in its history and reaches out to China and other foreign donors for help. April 25 marks the first anniversary of the Nepalese 7.8 magnitude earthquakes that claimed the lives of nearly 9,000 people and injured 22,309. The economic impact is estimated to be around 7 billion USD. Led by the prime minister, a ceremony was held at the ruins of the historic Dharahara Tower in Kathmandu.
