Nepal has adopted a new constitution, and is the country’s first full-fledged one in the Himalayan nation after it became a democratic republic in 2008. The new constitution rules that a federal and secular Nepal will have seven provinces, each with its own legislature. The government has announced a public holiday for Sunday and Monday to celebrate the historic moment.
