New report details Turkish guards beating Syrian migrants

The NGO, Human Rights Watch, published a report on Tuesday accusing Turkish border guards of killing or injuring more than a dozen Syrian refugees as they tried to cross into Turkey. They claimed they have video footage showing that many of them were beaten and wounded. However, Ankara vehemently denies the accusations, maintaining that it has an “open-door” policy towards the Syrian migrants, although thousands of refugees escaping from Syria are still trapped at the camps along the border, unable to pass into Turkey. CCTV’s Natalie Carney reports from Istanbul, Turkey.
