Nigeria is hosting a security summit in its capital Abuja to discuss the threat of Boko Haram. French President Francois Hollande, US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Britain’s Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond are among the senior foreign dignitaries in attendance. Boko Haram was named in the latest Global Terrorism Index as “the most deadly terrorist group in the world.” An estimated 20,000 people have been killed by the group since it began its campaign of terror in 2009.
