Nigerian man alleges racism

The Nigerian couple whose son’s birthday party was busted by the cops in Virar on Sunday said they were racially discriminated against despite being known to the villagers, their neighbours for nearly five years now. The Arnala police on Sunday halted the party of Stanley and Blessed Akande’s two-year-old son Trevor, in the Oasis resort-cum-farmhouse at Rajhodi, around 9km from Virar. The couple has been living on rent in a portion of the farmhouse for five years. Trevor was born in Virar and holds an Indian passport.
