Nirbhaya’s Mother Exclusive Interview With Times Now

“Judging by the attitude of the government and the Courts, I knew that nothing was going to happen today,” an emotionally distraught Asha Devi on Monday (December 21) told TIMES NOW, minutes after the Supreme Court dismissed the plea on the stay of the juvenile convict of her daughter Nirbhaya’s rape case. Maintaining a brave front, Asha Devi demanded justice for Nirbhaya, asking the Supreme Court to pass an order to hang the four other rapists of her daughter. “I will continue my fight,” she said. Asha Devi also urged the politicians to pass the Juvenile Justice Bill in the Parliament. The Supreme Court today dismissed a plea of DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal against the release of the juvenile offender in the December 16 gang rape case, saying “there has to be a clear legislative sanction” in this regard.
