Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today stirred a controversy with his tweet in which he projected himself as sandalwood that could not corrupted by poison. During a Question and Answer session on Twitter, when Nitish was asked if he would be able to give a stable government in Bihar with alliance partners like Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitish responded, “Thousand snakes may be coiled around the sandalwood tree in colll marsh lands- but the fragrance of the sandalwood remain as sweet as ever. Similarly, people who have a strong character remain unaffected by bad company.” Meanwhile, Nitish later clarified that his jibe was aimed at BJP, and not RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. “I wanted to assure people that although BJP is like poison. I did not allow the party to spread poison of communalism in Bihar,” he said.
