The mayor of North China’s Xingtai city apologized over the impact of flooding on the city at a press conference on Saturday night. Xingtai has been one of the worst-hit cities in North China’s Hebei Province, with 25 people killed and 13 others still missing. The provincial government has allocated a relief fund of over one hundred million yuan, or around 15 million US dollars, to the worst-hit areas. Working groups were also dispatched to those regions to help with disaster relief and reconstruction.
