China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs says more than 14 million people in ten provinces across northern and central China have been affected by flooding and torrential rainstorms, with at least 132 people killed and 113 others missing. Nearly 500,000 people have been moved from their homes, while almost 110,000 are in urgent need of support. The flooding has also devastated a large number of houses and crops, causing about 22 billion yuan worth of economic losses.
