North Korea’s frontline forces to enter state of war Friday

North Korea’ s top leader Kim Jong-un has ordered his country’s frontline forces to enter the state of war from 5pm local time Friday.
The move came one day after the two sides of the Korean peninsula exchanged fire across their border. The shelling tightened the already tense situation between the two Koreas.
North Korea tends to issue harsh warnings against joint U.S.-South Korea military drills and exercises. This time around, the warning was directed at propaganda broadcastings from the South.
The North described the propaganda broadcasting as “a direct action of declaring war” and threatened to strike the loudspeakers down.
