North Korea’s modern sports apparatus factory

Foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations were invited for a tour at a new sports facility factory in Pyongyang, capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Tuesday.

The renovated Sports Apparatus Factory reopened in early June, covering an area of 9,980 square meters.

Managers say the firm mainly produces basketballs, footballs and volleyballs, with an yearly turnout of around 520,000 pieces.

Officials say a large number of balls used by sports stadiums and government bodies are supplied by the factory.
