NYC chain restaurants required to label high-sodium warning on menus

New York State Supreme Court ruled Thursday that New York City could go ahead with its first-in-the-nation initiative forcing chain restaurants to post salt-shaker warnings on menu items containing 2,300 milligrams of sodium or more.

This rule will start next week, on March 1. Violators could face as much as 600 dollars fine for each infraction.
