The fighting between ride-hailing company Uber and New York City has been solved; that is for the time being.
A deal was reached Wednesday afternoon.
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office announced that the company agreed to a four-month study on the impact of Uber cars on traffic and the environment.
The City Council was previously set to vote on Thursday to cap the number of for-hire vehicles on city roads.
De Blasio once wanted to limit Uber to an increase of 200 new vehicles next year.
Local residents had different reactions to the news.
