US President Barack Obama received a rapturous response on his return to his ancestral homeland of Kenya. Coupled with a trip to Ethiopia and a speech before the assembled leaders of the African Union it seems a renewed relationship with Africa has become a major U.S. priority. But in the twilight of the Obama presidency is this coming too little, too late? What does America have to gain in Africa? And how does this all compare to China’s efforts in the region?
