Obama’s Hiroshima visit shuns apology

Dozens of Japanese citizens gathered in front of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial on Thursday, protesting against U.S. President Barack Obama’s visit to Hiroshima.

Obama visited Hiroshima, a Japanese city targeted by a nuclear bomb near the end of the WWII, as the first incumbent U.S. president.

But he avoided any direct apology.
