On the refugee crisis, what’re the U.S. concerns?

The United States said it prepares to take in some 300 more refugees from Syria this year.
It is a tiny trickle compared with the torrential flood of hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees swarming Europe.
Anslysts accused Washington of doing little in the the ongoing refugee crisis, which is largely caused by its interventions in other countries.
And Uncle Sam does have too many concerns about its response.
For example, how to take responsiblity without having to take the blame for causing the crisis? What if the refugee influx causes security concerns?
