A new price war has started in the online supermarket economy. Retailer Yihaodian.com is planning to invest one billion yuan in a three-month campaign that will challenge Alibaba’s Tmall supermarket. Yihaodian says it will offer lower prices than Tmall, and also offer some free deliveries. Yihaodian hopes the new campaign will attract customers nationwide, especially in first- and second-tier cities.
