An online streaming presenter set her own car on fire to gain more viewers. The arson took place in her backyard in the city of Dalian, northeast China’s Liaoning Province. The fire was soon out of control and she called the firefighters for help. The rescue team found the laptop at the scene and the show still being streamed live. They turned off the live show and put out the fire. The anchor was detained by police for arson. Live streaming shows are big business in China with large sums of money to be made by the most popular presenters. The current value of China’s live streaming market is estimated at $11 billion US dollars.
